The New Tech Network

What is the New Tech Network?

The New Tech Network is a non-profit  organization that helps high school students gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life, college, and the careers of tomorrow.  We work nationwide with schools, districts, and communities to provide services and support that enable schools to implement innovative high schools that promote deeper learning.

How is New Tech related to nex+Gen Academy?

New Tech provides our school and its staff with valuable services (Echo, Google Apps) and support (professional development, our own coach, and an international network of New Tech educators) as we further develop our program and our school culture using their innovative model as a foundation.

What is the "New Tech" model?

Project-based "deeper" learning + integrated technology + a collaborative school culture = success

  • The instructional approach is project or problem-based, meaning it is shared, creative, and contextual.  You can learn more about project-based learning HERE.
  • Integrated technology means technology tools are used to enhance learning and communication.
  • Trust, respect, and responsibility are cornerstones of a New Tech school's culture.
